It is said that if viewed from space, these lines will look marks made by farm machinery.  And that if you try and count them, you are very, very sad.  All we know is that the field has been sown, and that the sun shines only on the righteous.  Which explains why, in the distance, the eastern extremity of Bedfordshire is in the shade...
